Guest Speakers

Victoria Walker

Victoria has been in the digital marketing game for over 10 years after starting her business whilst still at uni. Facebook and Instagram came knocking and she saw how important they’d become for business. Turns out… she was onto something.

WLKR Digital offers a gamut of digital marketing services, specialising in strategy and content. With experience across a multitude of industries and many personal ties to the physio world, Victoria has a lot to say and teach in this space.

Matt Wirdnam

Matt is the Social Media Editor at The La Trobe University Sports and Exercise Medicine Research Centre. In addition he is also a Master’s researcher at The Australian Ballet and is currently working as a clinician in private practice and in football at South Melbourne FC.

Matt’s research focusses on the impact that mental fatigue has on learning, injury and performance in professional ballet.

Ashleigh Ormond

Ashleigh is a Holistic Physiotherapist and Mindset Coach. She is also a passionate speaker, writer, podcaster & content creator.

In 2021, after completing further training in Women’s Health and her coaching certification, Ash started her Instagram page as a platform to educate, empower self love and self confidence, and to hold space for otherwise “taboo” conversations. What began as a creative outlet in lockdown quickly grew to an engaged audience of over 18,000 people across Instagram and TikTok.

Through her social media platform, Ash has had the opportunity to work with prominent brands in the health and wellness space including KIC, Modibodi, and Baxter Blue. But more importantly, Ash sees her social platform as a vessel to reach, connect and empower people beyond the confines of the treatment room

Michelle Bergeron

Michelle is a professional that stands behind her patients and her statements; in person and on social media. It’s an approach that has served her well in her noteworthy career of over 16 years, working with elite athletes, performance professionals and everyday people who struggle with foot and ankle issues. And while the steady stream of free Barefoot shoes is yet to materialise, Michelle has embraced social media as a means to reach and educate a new, highly informed patient (and now health professional, with The Better Foot Project), who actively seek out professionals who are ready with the quality, research-based content they need and relatable, no bs approach to life.

John Contreras

John is an APA Sports & Exercises Physiotherapist, Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Pilates Instructor and Educator with over 21 years of experience working in Melbourne and London. In addition to his Physiotherapy qualifications, John also holds a Master of Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) from Edith Cowan University.

Alongside his clinic work, John also runs various exercise therapy workshops to health and fitness professionals, mentors younger clinicians, and is founder of The Physio Social Club.
