Connecting Health & Fitness Professionals.

The Physio Social Club was established to provide Physiotherapists, Health & Fitness Professionals with a community.

Too often as our working life makes it harder to maintain a network of colleagues outside of your own place of work. The Physio Social Club aims to make it a lot easier! We are a place to share your experiences, ask questions, offer and/or seek mentorship, learn and meet others in our community.

Rather than relying on weekend CPD courses for your networking, join us at The Physio Social Club to meet like minded professionals during a range of different social events. Held in a range of settings and offering various activities, our socials enable Physiotherapists, Health & Fitness Professionals and those who work in the industry a chance to come together and have fun.

Who is The Physio Social Club for?

  • If you’re a Physio, Health Professionals, Fitness Professional, a Physio student or work in a Physio clinic you’re more than welcome to join us.

  • Are you interested in meeting and getting to know others clinicians?

  • Do you want to develop as both a clinician and person?

  • Do you have a skill, interest or story you would like to share to help others?

If you answered yes or no to any other these, then we’d love to see you at our next event.

Meet the Team

  • John Contreras

    PHYSIO.

I’m an APA Sports & Exercise Physio, Strength Coach and Pilates Educator. I started The Physio Social Club in 2020 to help the great people within our industry better connect. I’ve live/worked in Melbourne and London and have worked in every setting from professional sport, to aged care, private clinics and hospitals. I also teach a number of exercise therapy workshops to health & fitness professionals. I’m based in Melbourne, play football, try to hold off aging in the gym and love a chat over a coffee.

  • Kelvin Leung

    PHYSIO

I'm a physio at Sterling Physiotherapy in Kew, qualified as a physio in 2013 and spent most years living between Hong Kong, Perth, London and Melbourne working in private practice, community health and professional sport.

I am excited about the direction that our healthcare is headed. I hope to effect change in the way we inspire individuals and communities to recover, participate, and get better. I enjoy bouldering, basketball, anything tech-related, and discovering anywhere that has a vibrant food scene.

  • Kit Wisdom

    PHYSIO

I’m a Physiotherapist with a Masters in Wellbeing Science and currently training in Hakomi mindful somatic psychotherapy. I have a keen interest in interpersonal neuroscience and its role in pain and healthcare, in particular, the relationship between the practitioner and the client and the emergent intersubjective space.

I advocate for the visibility and exploration of the practitioner’s subjectivity, as part of the intersubjective space and see it as an unearthed pathway to providing care that humanises and nourishes both the practitioner and the client.

  • Thihan Chandramohan

    PHYSIO

I’m very lucky to have realised my dream of becoming a cricket physio after graduating in Melbourne over 20 years ago. Now, as the Rehabilitation Manager for the Sri Lankan Cricket team, I'm fortunate to live my passion daily. Through the Physio Social Club, I get to share my experiences and am able to encourage physios and other health professionals to seek and pursue their own career goals.
