Welcome to The Physio Social Club.

Our initial goal was to establish a face to face, offline community for Physiotherapists in Melbourne, Australia. One of the challenges we Physios come across is building a network of colleagues who work across the industry. In the end, our network is usually limited to an ever-dwindling group of undergraduate friends, people we’ve worked with in the past and possibly other Physios we’ve in post-graduate studies. The Physio Social Club aims to make building and maintaining our network easier.

Our goal was to establish a range of social events for Physios to attend to meet, chat, learn and share. Rather than relying on various social media groups to stay connected, we wanted to bring people face to face. Then COVID-19 arrived.

After re-thinking our approach for 2020, we have decided to launch a range of online social events. These are online versions of our planned face to face events. These include our monthly Physio Social Club Café and Physio Social Club Copete. These events are based on our planned morning coffee catch ups (Café) and our evening events held at a pub or bar (Copete). Each event will have a theme to guide the start of the conversation, however the discussion will be fluid. See our Events for more information. As the current government guidelines to social distancing and social gathering alters in Victoria, we will re-evaluate the nature of our events.

We at The Physio Social Club hope you will join us at one of our events, even if it’s just to drop in and say hi.
